  big news - i met with the elders last night.

  they were not arrogant and they were not mean spirited, but of course we all know they also would not budge from the jw brainwashed beliefs they are sworn to uphold.

  i let my light shine, and within two minutes of sitting down with them was no longer nervous.. .

  hi my name is crystle.

  ( i dont care if my congregation finds out what i am posting.

  i havent been "in" for ten years and i have already told severl members what i think and where they can shove it...:/) i am 27 years old, and a single mother of a wonderful 6 year old.

  "Keep yourselves in Gods Love"...JW`s and masturbation video #22

  i just looked to see if this video is still on the official jehovah`s witness website "keep yourselves in gods love " ( deaf and sign language # 22 ) and it is.

  notwithstanding whether it is appropiate for signers to be explicit or not, depending on what signage they use, the real question should be, why are the governing body of jehovah`s witnesses so concerned that their members are masturbating or not.it is not an issue in the bible .why are they delving into something that quite frankly does not concern them ?.

  Did guilt force you into relationships with negative or selfish people?

  how much force did guilt play into your relationships with other witnesses?

  we wasted so much of our lives chasing things that are not real, love that was highly conditional and relationships with people that evaporated once we started to fade away.. .

  i would force myself to talking with nutty brothers who seemed to be "short their rent each month, never able to catch up".

  One of my favorite realizations when I left JWness. I could have friends, friends that are my friends because we like eachother. I don't think I had any JW friends that I would have been friends with had it not been we were both in the cult. Well I take that back there may be 1/2 dozen that if they left I could see us being friends again. My JW "friends" were manly NUTS

  snake on bedroom floor when I got up this am!

  i woke up and nearly put my foot on a 2ft long snake that somehow got up to the 2nd floor.

  i screamed and ran out of the room and started crying.

  i hate snakes and am terrified of them.

  Wow that would freek me out too! I don't mind snakes but in my bedroom!!! not cool. Well I guess that up does my rodent problem today.

  I have three cats that are good hunters so don't think about anything in the house. Nope as I was cleaning the stove a big mouse comes running out. Yup I screemed. It is now hiding under the fridge but I'm going to waite till the hubby gets home so he can either shoo it out the door or kill it....

  September 11, 2001- Where were you?

  i work at a major airline in the in-flight training department.

  i was sitting at the desk on the computer, i kid you not... writing the security (hijacking) curriculum for 2002, when someone came in and told me a plane flew into the wtc.

  we all thought it was one of our planes.

  I was in FS too. With Wes the ass elder that helped me wake up later from his lack of love, and my EX. We always met at the KH but would remeet closer to where we were going out being we are in the country. I put the radio on, normally didn't but I did and we heard them talking about it. We went to a sisters house in the teritory we were working and watched it on her TV. Most people we talked to in FS knew about it and we did out JW moral suport thing... we didn't stay out to late. It was a tuesday and the Book Study that night was surreal.

  Can the Borg close down a Kingdom Hall because of low attendance?

  the land for our hall was given to the congregation by a local brother.. the contribution box was overflowing with gifts of money from the brothers & sisters in the congregation when they knew we were going to have our 'own' hall at last.. we built it ourselves with help from brothers & sisters that donated their time & skills.

  we had a small loan from the borg to help us finish the project & this was paid off very quickly.. that must be 25 years ago now.. we were told by circuit overseers we would be blessed if we had our own hall & that the fine witness would bring many people in to the 'truth'.. it didn't.. we were never a big congregation, however when attendance went down to below 30 a couple of years ago, the circuit overseers wanted to close the hall down.. the elders protested & the hall is still being used.. can the borg close down a kingdom hall they haven't built & keep the proceeds?.

  why doesn't it belong to the people that paid for it?.

  Lady Gaga and an Ex JW

  last night i watched a show that, i thought, really shows the attitude of jws towards the rest of the world.

  it was extremely enlightening and i hope it opened alot of peoples eyes that think jws are just nice christian people, but are not a cult.

  it was a show on "e" that is called "opening act".

  What I am most ashamed of.........

  is not giving to charity while a jw.

  this whole 'lets sit back and wait for jehovah to sort the world out while we do nothing' really gets to me.

  there is so much to be done in this world, so many people doing good things but the jws just say bang on doors and sell watchtowers.. i did plenty of voluntary work in the jws pioneering my youth away but it was all so useless, now i do voluntary work to help people who want to be helped, as well as my job.

  I understand and I'm sure we have ALL had the feeling of shame. Shame of believeing, helping others believe, shunning others......

  Sometimes I write something on here and get lots of "i agree" other times I get "it will get better FS" all and all we understand how you are feeling we just don't want you to feel that shame
